First Medical college for the suburbs

Andheri - 4th medical college of BMC will be starting in Cooper hospital which is named after Shiv Sena supremo Balsaheb Thackeray. This naming ceremony took place on 11th December and it was done by Governer C. Vidyasagar Rao in the presence of Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray.
This medical college will be attached to cooper hospital and Balasaheb Thackeray trauma care hospital Jogeshwari. It was opened for public by the governer Vidyasaga Rao in a ceremony. Also present on the occassio were mayor Snehal Ambekar. Many other political dignataries like MP Arvind Sawant, education minister Vinod Tawde, Medical education minister Girish Mahajan, Industry Minister Subhash Desai, minister of state for higher education Ravindra Vaikar, former Loksabha speaker Manohar Joshi and leaders from BMC were also present at this occasion.
