Mumbai- “Budget presented by finance minister Arun Jaitley is nothing but hollow budget with fake promises. They have given many sops to corporates but have ignored comman man completely,” said Ashok Chavhan, president, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee.
Chavan said that Arun Jaitley ignored farmer’s issues and gave many privileges to corporates. “We thought Jaitley would present something for farmers by giving them waive off on loan but nothing was done of that sort,” added Chavan.
He also took a dig at Jaitley for announcing AIIMS at Jharkhand and Gujarat overlooking Maharashtra. He also spoke about railway budget saying that FM did not speak anything about Mumbai railway. “He only gave speech and nothing else,” said Chavan.
Chavan mentioned about unemployment promises made by PM Narendra Modi but nothing was spoken about it in the budget. He said that Chavan has fooled unemployed literates.
