I joined Congress at a young age. I have been in the party for the last 48 years. I am stopping now. Because today I have resigned from the membership of Congress. I tender this resignation with immediate effect. Actually I wanted to talk about many things but it is better to remain silent about some things. So I am calm. Who is Baba Siddiqui?

Baba Siddiqui is known as a big leader in Mumbai Congress. He joined the Congress in 1977 while still in college. He participated in many agitations while he was a student. He has completed his education from MMK college in Mumbai. Baba Siddiqui was elected as Congress MLA three times consecutively in the years 1999, 2004 and 2009. Baba Siddiqui had the responsibility of Minister of State. He is known as a mass leader.

This is not a shock for us. We were not surprised that Baba Siddiqui left the party, just as no one was surprised when the NCP split, Shiv Sena split. Vijay Vadettiwar has reacted by saying that I wish him all the best. Baba Siddiqui is going with Ajit Pawar i.e. BJP. We are not surprised that he left the party, said Vadettiwar.
