Founder of Bhamla Foundation joins BJP

After his induction, Asif Bhamla took to Twitter to inform that he has joined BJP to work for all the sections of the society

Ahead of 2019 Maharashtra assembly elections, the founder of Bhamla Foundation, Asif Bhamla, on Wednesday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Bhamla had contested 2014 assembly election in Maharashtra on Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) ticket. 

Bhamla was inducted into the BJP in the presence of party’s Maharashtra unit President Chandrakant Patil, Sports and Youth Welfare minister Ashish Shelar among others. Bhamla will serve as the BJP spokesperson for Maharashtra.

After his induction, Bhamla took to Twitter to inform that he has joined BJP to work for all the sections of the society.

While talking to Mumbai Live, Asif Bhamla said, “I will work for the party with full dedication. I will help Ashish Shelar at every step to ensure his victory. I thank Chandrakant Dada Patil and Shelar for trusting me.”

Along with being the founder of Bhamla Foundation, Asif Bhamla is recognised for his work in the field of environment. He has been awarded the National Green Crusader Award from the Government of India (GoI).
