Right after tabling the state’s budget in the legislative assembly, Goa’s chief minister Manohar Parrikar issued a statement on Twitter saying that he will have a limited interaction with public owing to health issues but will continue his duty as a CM.

Initially, he was admitted to Goa Medical College for food poisoning. Later, he was shifted to Lilavati Hospital on February 15, 2018, for mild pancreatitis.
On 14 February night, Parrikar had complained of stomach-ache after which he was taken to the Goa Medical College and Hospital for a health examination and later was flown to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital.
