Minister Deshmukh took to Twitter to share the information and said that he is confident that he will be back to serve the people of Maharashtra.

Maharashtra State Home Minister, Anil Deshmukh, has tested positive for coronavirus. Informing the state about the same, Deshmukh himself took to Twitter and shared the details, with a message that read, "I have tested +ve for Covid19 today. Though I don't have much symptoms,I still request people who came in contact with me in the last few days to get themselves tested& isolate accordingly. With your prayers& blessings I'm confident I will be back serving people of my state soon," he said.

Meanwhile, healthcare workers and other frontline staff are being vaccinated acorss the state and the drive is being conducted in  full swing. 

As per reports, coronavirus spread is reducing in some countries but steadily increasing in many, and addressing the issues, the state government has asked the local bodies to remain vigilant for the next months. CM Uddhav Thackeray has asked people to continue wearing masks and follow the norms as suggested. In a presentation recently, he asked the government officials to focus on the same and remain cautious. State cabinet members were present at the meeting.

"If we believe that the number of cases are reducing significantly, then we should note that there is another strong wave of infection in Europe, and this is despite planning the mass immunity drive," he added,
