Is BJP eyeing Shiv Sena led South Mumbai, Ratnagiri, and Palghar constituencies?

Although the party claims that all the seats won by the Shiv Sena last time will remain with the Shinde group in the grand alliance, there is a picture that South Mumbai, Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg, Palghar and some other constituencies will go to the BJP.

Arvind Sawant of Shiv Sena was elected from South Mumbai last time. Due to this the Shinde group has a claim on this constituency. When Milind Deora joined the Shiv Sena's Shinde faction from the Congress, there was speculation that he would be a candidate from South Mumbai. But as Deora was given Rajya Sabha seat, it became clear that he would not be a candidate in South Mumbai. The Shinde group does not have any other candidate for the Lok Sabha elections today. On the other hand, BJP has prepared to fight from South Mumbai. Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar's name may be suggested. Apart from this, the name of Guardian Minister Mangalprabhat Lodha is being discussed.

With Union Minister Narayan Rane being denied Rajya Sabha nomination, it is almost certain that he will contest the Lok Sabha elections. Vinayak Raut is an MP from Shiv Sena's Thackeray group in Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg Lok Sabha constituency. As a result, guardian minister Uday Samant is trying to get this seat to the Shinde group. Samant has started preparations for the candidature of his brother Kiran Samant. But if Samant's brother is in the fray, the election will be easier for Shiv Sena's Thackeray group, according to a BJP survey. This is why BJP is planning to field Narayan Rane. Of course, Uday Samant has claimed that this constituency will remain with Shiv Sena forever. Overall, there is a possibility that the BJP and the Shinde group will face a battle in the Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg constituency. If Shinde wins this constituency, the political future of Narayan Rane will be uncertain.

Palghar MP Rajendra Gavit has been eyed to contest from the BJP. In 2018, he was elected to the Lok Sabha in a by-election from Palghar on behalf of the BJP. Gavit accepted Shiv Sena's candidate as Palgar constituency went to Shiv Sena in 2019 elections.

BJP is eyeing constituencies like Hingoli, Parbhani, Raigad etc. NCP leader Praful Patel wanted to contest from Gondia-Bhandara constituency. But there are signs that the Bhandara-Gondia constituency will remain with the BJP as they have been re-elected to the Rajya Sabha.

Raigad Lok Sabha seat belongs to NCP - Ajit Pawar

The upcoming Lok Sabha elections will be fought through the grand alliance. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar announced that the NCP will get the Raigad Lok Sabha seat and Sunil Tatkare will be the only candidate. He was speaking at the Mhasla NCP workers meeting. Ajit Pawar also said that we have set a target to elect all 48 seats in the state.
