Mumbai - NCP speaker Hemraj Shah has joined the saffron party in presence of Party Chief Uddhav Thackeray in Shiv Sena Bhavan. Whole Gujarati party workers along with their kingpin moved to Shiv Sena.
It's a jolt for the BJP, party with big Gujarati faces were not able to bank on their strength.
The Sena and BJP have contested the BMC elections in an alliance, with the Sena drawing support from the city’s Maharashtrian quarters and the BJP cashing in on votes from Gujarati traders and businessmen across the city.
At the moment Uddhav Thackeray told," Gujarati community people were away from the party because of some misconception." This is a big boost for Shiv Sena before BMC polls.
