On Wednesday, July 28, Water Resources Minister and NCP State President Jayant Patil was reportedly rushed to the Breach Candy Hospital after he complained of uneasiness during the cabinet meeting.

Clarifying about the minister’s health, Health Minister Rajesh Tope informed that Jayant Patil's condition is stable. He also stated that the minister is fine and can speak without any problems.

Reportedly, Patil had decided to undergo a planned angiography on Thursday, July 29, at 10 am.

Tope also mentioned that Patil has around a 50 per cent block in one of his arteries which is investigated by doctors. Doctors have advised that Patil be kept under observation for hours.

Tope also said that doctors have observed some minor changes in Patil's ECG report taken on Wednesday and the previous one. Meanwhile, Patil complained of sudden uneasiness and walked out of the meeting hall at Sahyadri guest house and sat in another room.

Taking it to Twitter, Patil also confirmed that he was doing fine. “With the blessings of all of you, my health is very good. No need to worry. I went to the hospital for regular checkups. The doctor has advised me to rest. Don't believe any rumours. I will be back at your service soon. Thank you!” wrote Jayant Patil.

Meanwhile, in the meeting, Sangli's Guardian Minister Patil had instructed the authorities to inspect the situation during the pre-crisis period. Due to the high rise in the water level of the Krishna River, the riverside villages and the city of Sangli were flooded.
