“In the last four years, 337 reporters and 52 media houses have been attacked. Security should be provided to the reporters,” said BJP Mumbai president Ashish Shelar in an assembly. He has been demanding for reporters protection act since many years. CM Devendra Fadnavis has assured that reporters security act will be tabled in an assembly.
“DNA correspondent Sudhir Suryawanshi was attacked and still the accused is on run. This is condemnable,” said Bhai Jagtap, Congress MLA. Shiv Sena leader Neelam Gorhe too criticised the cowardly attack.
On Friday, DNA correspondent Sudhir Suryawanshi was attacked by some unknown assailants. He is now recuperating at the hospital.
