Bandra- 2100 enraged employees of the beleaguered Khambata Aviation company knocked at the doors of Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday evening, seeking justice.
They were accompanied by social activist Anjali Damania, who has picked up cudgels for their cause. During the meeting, the Kamgaar Sena got into to brawl with Damania, with the latter storming out of the meeting midway. However, she was convinced and was brought back.
Damania has blamed Shiv Sena MP Vinayak Raut of corruption, saying he was hand in glove with the company in not paying the dues of Khambata employees. While the employees sought help from Uddhav Thackeray, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis has directed Khambata Aviation to clear off the workers' dues. Once again, BJP-SS are trying hard to outdo each other. One can only hope the workers win in the final analysis.
