Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray on Monday instructed party workers to set aside internal differences and focus on election work, asserting that MNS will come to power in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). He also clarified that while discussions about an alliance between Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray have been going on for the past few days, it is up to us to decide who to form an alliance with, and that the order will be given at the right time.
A gathering of MNS office bearers was held at Rangsharda Auditorium in the backdrop of the upcoming local body elections across the state, including Mumbai. Speaking on this occasion, Raj Thackeray, while guiding the workers on the municipal elections and the issue of Marathi, primarily ordered them to resolve factionalism and disputes within the party. He also expressed his determination on this occasion to remember that this year the power over the municipal corporation will be ours.
In the meeting, Thackeray guided the office bearers regarding the elections and gave suggestions on what should be done from an organisational perspective. However, there was no discussion about an alliance with Shiv Sena (Thackeray) in the meeting, said MNS leader Bala Nandgaonkar. Workers should respect each other. They should also impose restrictions on their behavior, Nandgaonkar said.
