After formally announcing the alliance, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday declared its first list of 125 candidates for the assembly elections in Maharashtra which are scheduled on October 21.
In its list, BJP has given a ticket to 52 sitting MLAs across Maharashtra while leaving 12 incumbent party MLAs.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will contest the assembly polls from Nagpur South West while Maharashtra BJP President Chandrakant Patil will file his nomination from Kothrud assembly constituency.
Moreover, BJP has fielded Shivendra Sinh, who wears the family name of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, from Satara assembly constituency.
Maharashtra Rural Development Minister Pankaja Munde is contesting from Parli while senior leader Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil has been fielded from Shirdi. Maharashtra Irrigation Minister Girish Mahajan will contest from Jamner.
Patil on September 30 formally announced the alliance with Shiv Sena and other smaller parties in Maharashtra. However, Patil remained silent on the seat-sharing issue between both the saffron parties.
Kalidas Kolambkar, who left Congress to join BJP, has been fielded from Wadala assembly constituency.
Patil further said that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray will jointly announce the seat distribution.
