Senior NCP leader Nawab Malik is going to file his nomination papers from Mankhurd-Shivaji Nagar assembly constituency. However, a lot of interest has arisen regarding his candidature. Because, Ajit Pawar's party NCP has made his daughter Sana Malik its candidate from Anushaktinagar Malik assembly constituency.

Nawab Malik has started an election campaign in Mankhurd-Shivaji Nagar adjacent to this assembly constituency. However, he has not yet announced his party. After the NCP was divided into two factions, Nawab Malik has not joined any faction. He is close to Ajit Pawar faction. His daughter is also at this party.  But Nawab Malik has been opposed by other allies of the Mahayuti. Mainly BJP is against Malik. Therefore Nawab Malik can contest the elections as an independent.


Daughter filed nomination

Nawab Malik was present with Sana Malik when she filed her nomination on October 28. Meanwhile, it is not yet clear from which party Nawab Malik will contest the assembly elections.
