With the warnings of heavy rainfall in Mumbai, CM Thackeray has instructed the administration to remain alert while viewing the flood situation.

Thackeray also interacted with the Pune, Konkan, Aurangabad and Nashik Divisional Commissioners as well as the District Collectors of these divisions through a televised system as he took stock of the situation. The meeting was attended by MP Anil Desai, MP Vinayak Raut, Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar, Principal Advisor to the Chief Minister Ajoy Mehta, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Ashish Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary Vikas Kharge, Agriculture Secretary Eknath Dawale and Relief and Disaster Management Secretary Kishore Raje Nimbalkar.

Speaking about the ongoing efforts, the CM informed that the people are being evacuated in many places by the relief team. In doing so, certain measures such as masks and sanitizers should be made available. With the prediction of floods in the state, the CM added that future migration should be planned in time as per the need and care should with regards to the migrant families. Furthermore, he stated that if the people are to return to their homes after the floods recede, they should be provided necessary assistance there.

Moreover, the concerned Divisional Commissioners and District Collectors gave detailed information about the situation and the damage done, along with the help that is being provided and the measures that are being taken. Apart from damage to agriculture and crops, livestock, houses, roads, water supply schemes, power supply, schools, gram panchayat buildings, primary health centres were also warned of the damage.
