Prabhadevi – Sunday was the last day of election campaign. Independent candidate Mahesh Sawant was campaigning in ward number – 194. Accidentally while he was campaigning someone broke windshield and glasses of his Swift Dzire car parked under a building near Wakdi chawl.
Sawant has worked for Shiv Sena for past 25 years as a party worker. He was accepting ticket this time, but he didn’t get it. Instead, MP Sada Sarvankar’s son Samadhan Sarvankar got the ticket. This infuriated him and he decided to contest independently.
