According to sources, the Marathi Language Conservation Fortnight program was concluded in the presence of Marathi Language Minister Subhash Desai in Mumbai on Thursday, January 29.

Moreover, the 34 awards to be given by the Maharashtra State Board of Literature and Culture were also announced on this occasion. While congratulating all the award winners for their contribution in the production of Marathi language literature, Subhash Desai hoped that these writers would guide the Marathi language department for the promotion and development of the language itself.

Meanwhile, Secretary of Marathi Language Department Prajakta Lavangare, Secretary of Directorate General of Information and Public Relations and Director-General Dr Dilip Pandharpatte, Chetan Tupe, Head of Marathi Language Committee in the Legislative Assembly, Gopal Wakode, Art Teacher, Ranjit Singh Disley, International Award-winning Teacher were also present on the occasion.

In view of the occasion, Marathi Language Minister Subhash Desai stated, it is necessary to increase the use of Information Technology for the enrichment of the Marathi language. Moreover, interactive books should be created using technology. In addition, he claimed that the Marathi language needs to be enhanced not only for the promotion of Marathi but also for the use of friendly technology.

Furthermore, he added, “It is really admirable that the concept of an exhibition of books by the authors of the Ministry has come to the liking of the people. Similarly, the work of Wakode Guruji, an art teacher who encourages and trains people to sign in Marathi, is also remarkable.” said Desai in conclusion.
