Nonchalance. Subtle envy. A bit of anger. Mumbaikars exhibited a range of emotions when asked to react to news of Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray building himself a swanky second home right next to his existing iconic bungalow Matoshree at Bandra.
Thackeray's dream house, which is coming up right across Matoshree, will be a six-storey structure with two triplex apartments. The entire structure is spread over 10,000 sq ft. Every flat will have five bedrooms and one study room. The building is being designed by eminent architecture firm Talaty and Panthaky.
There were a range of reactions when Mumbai Live spoke to the Mumbaikar on the street about Matoshree 2.0. Many thought that this was his personal decision and no one needs to say anything about it. Some said that even Uddhav Thackeray should divulge his property details, while some said that be it politicians or businessmen, everyone needs to invest money wisely.
