MLA saves poor man’s vision

Magathane - A Magathane resident, afflicted with cataract in his eyes and unable to afford treatment, had a smile on his face after he received financial help from the local public representative. Shiv Sena MLA Prakash Surve who heard that Shrirang Dhondiba Kawle, a resident of Kawle Chawl in Ketkipada area of Dahisar East was in need of financial help for a cataract operation costing Rs 35,000, asked doctors in the Ashwini Hospital at Virar to perform the operation on Kawle for Rs 5,000. He also personally offered assistance of Rs 3,500.
