The Crime Branch has succeeded in arresting one more accused in the murder of former minister Baba Siddique. This is the 16th arrest in this case. It has been found that the accused in this case is in touch with Anmol, the brother of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi.


The Crime Branch has arrested Gaurav Vilas Apune (23) in the Baba Siddique murder case. He is a resident of Karve Nagar, Pune. Investigation revealed his involvement in the attack plot. The absconding accused had also trained him in handling weapons.

Earlier, Mumbai police had arrested 32-year-old Sujit Singh in this case. He had contacted a gangster from abroad. Singh interacted with him through multiple accounts through various social media. He is suspected to be foreign gangster Anmol Bishnoi.


Six pistols have been seized in this case so far. The wanted accused in the case Shubham Lonkar and Mohammad Zeeshan Akhtar were aware of the conspiracy to kill Baba Siddique and Singh was in touch with Anmol Bishnoi. He provided money to other accused and was involved in supplying arms. Singh left Mumbai a month before the crime took place. He was arrested in Ludhiana. Popularly known as Singh Babbu. He was also in touch with the accused in this case, Mohammad Zeeshan Akhtar. After that he came in contact with Sapre and other accused four to five months ago. No case has been registered against Singh before, but the police are verifying it.
