NCP President, Sharad Pawar, on Friday, October 23, passed a statement that no one in the party was offended by the joining of Eknath Khadse and the work in the party will not change either. On the contrary, he confirmed that he has no doubt about Khadse's calibre and that his joining will only increase the strength of the NCP.

Khadse joined the NCP on Friday in the presence of Sharad Pawar.

Sharing more, he said that the new generation and young leader, in large numbers, are eager to join the NCP, and the party is also considering increasing its strength across several areas.

Khadse was earlier a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from 1987 until 2020, and had served positions like Revenue, Agriculture minister of Maharashtra, and the MLA of Muktainagar, in the past.

His work in Jalgaon added to BJP's strength. He was instrumental in growing the party there, however, he was not appreciated and had to face injustice. NCP is considering to use this strength from Khadse and a lot of work needs to be done in areas like Dhule, Jalgaon, Nandurbar and others

NCP is currently working hard in areas of Khandesh, and Nathabhau's (Eknath Khadse) joining will accelerate the work in the locality. His positive attitude towards not looking back when asked to do something and his experience will be invaluable for the party.

Pawar further ruled over the rumours of the party members being upset of Khadse's joining. He stated that no one stated anything or expressed dissatisfaction regarding the same. In fact, he also rubbished the rumour that said Ajit Pawar was not happy with this decision. Offering more clarification, he said that nothing will change in the party and there is no possibility of reshuffling the ministers. They will continue to work in their current position and portfolio.
