On Sunday, December 27, Union minister Ramdas Athawale stated that his earlier slogan “Go Corona, Corona Go” has been successful as the COVID-19 situation is improving in the country.

In view of the situation, he added that now he has come up with a new slogan “No Corona, Corona No”, which is for the new variant of the coronavirus detected in the UK first, and then in several other places.

In recent developments, the new variant of the coronavirus that led to millions of people entering the lockdown in the UK has caused a global scare. Over 20 countries including France, Germany, Italy, Canada, and India have banned flights from the UK after the British government warned that the potent new strain of the coronavirus was "out of control".

The Union Minister was discharged from a private hospital in Mumbai last month, 10 days after testing positive for COVID-19. It is noteworthy that the BJP leader had earlier attended a crowded function. In this function actresses Payal Ghosh, Soni Kanishka, lawyer Nitin Satpute, realtor Yogesh Karkera and businessman Ankush Chaphekar had formally joined the Republican Party of India (A).

Back in February 2020, a video of Athawale, along with a Chinese diplomat and Buddhist monks chanting "Go corona, go corona" at a prayer meeting went viral on social media.
