According to reports, the State Backward Class Commission is expected to submit its report on Maratha reservation to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday. The report will be then forwarded to Bombay High Court.

After studying two lakh statements and 45,000 families, the Backward Class Commission has prepared a report on the need of reservation for the Maratha community. On November 11 and 12, the Commission took marathon meetings and prepared the report, which will be submitted to the Chief Minister on the night of November 14.

On August 5, CM Fadnavis had announced that the state government would take a decision on Maratha reservation once the commission submits its report to the government. Following his assurance, Maratha community called off their agitation on August 10.
