While the problem of traffic congestion in cities like Mumbai, Thane, and Pune is becoming more serious day by day, the government does not have time to address it and solve these problems. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena president Raj Thackeray on Thursday accused the ruling party of being more interested in issues like pigeons and elephants than lives, and of neglecting issues of public welfare and development. He also demanded that the government pay serious attention to the issue of traffic congestion.
Raj Thackeray met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to draw the government's attention to the issue of traffic congestion in Mumbai. At that time, Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti and Joint Commissioner (Traffic) Anil Kumbhare were present at the occasion. Thackeray informed that during this meeting, city planning and traffic issues were discussed.
For the past few months, we have been discussing the issue of urban planning and traffic congestion with the Chief Minister, and large-scale redevelopment work is underway in the Mumbai area. Where 50 people used to live, now 500 people live. Their needs, transportation, cars and garbage have all increased. All this has come onto the roads. Due to this, the city is becoming a mess and Thackeray said that he has drawn the Chief Minister's attention to it.
