Only Parliament has the right to increase the limit of reservation. The reservation given by the Bihar government could not survive in court. The question of reservation can be resolved in the Lok Sabha. Instead of pretending to hold all-party meetings for reservation, the entire society should go to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray raised the issue of reservation to Modi saying that he is aware of the struggle of the poor.
Some workers of the Maratha Kranti Morcha met Uddhav Thackeray in 'Matoshree'. After talking to the media, Thackeray said, some parties including the BJP are fighting each other. Discord is being created in society. The issue of Maratha reservation is now a matter that can only be discussed in the Lok Sabha. Earlier we have supported Maratha reservation in the state. I am ready to support my MPs in the Lok Sabha. Prime Minister Modi has said many times that he comes from a backward society. He is aware of the struggle in poverty. We accept the decision that Modi will give regarding reservation. By saying this, Thackeray has pushed the issue of reservation to Modi.

The Mahayuti government has been in power for two years. Thackeray also asked why this government did not find a solution by talking to the central government on Maratha reservation. Two years ago, the government was overthrown. Now overnight, lands are being allotted to the followers of Chief Minister Deputy Chief Minister. It was decided to give three acres of land of the Animal Husbandry Department to Mumbai Bank. The decision was later retracted from the website but has the decision actually been revoked?, asked Thackeray.
Some office bearers of BJP involved in the agitation
Workers of Maratha Kranti Morcha protested outside 'Matoshree' for Thackeray to clarify their stand on Maratha reservation. Shiv Sena Thackeray group official Harshvardhan Palande has alleged that some office bearers of BJP were involved in this movement.
