Shiv Sena and Bharatiya Janata Party are alliance partners but very often both saffron parties are seen sparring with each other. After the rift between the Sena BJP over the beautification work of the Chaitya Bhumi, now both the parties are said to be involved in a cat fight for gaining credit for beautification work statue of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. State government and BMC have spent for the beautification work of the statue. A credit war has now broken out between both the parties.

After the death of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, the world's first statue dedicated to him was erected in Nariman Point. This statue has been erected between Madame Cama and Karmaveer Bhaurao Marg Junction.

Now, this statue is being beautified and a roof is being put on it. In November 2016, the state government had sanctioned Rs 12 lakhs.

The state government has sanctioned money for the fixing a roof above the statue, then, on the other hand, his biography will be written on the other side by creating a 'brass' book from BMC's expenditure. BMC will provide 8.5 lakh rupees for the work of this book. The statue will be unveiled on April 14th. Both the BJP and the Shiv Sena are now ready for a face off on the issue.
