Sanjay Raut said that there was no point in Eknath Shinde going to Davos to bring in business to Maharashtra when projects back home went to Gujarat "under his nose"

Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray MP Sanjay Raut ridiculed Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for going to Davos to get investments instead of Gujarat to bring back the projects.

Raut was hinting at the loss of $20 billion Vedanta Foxconn semiconductor project and Rs22,000 crore Tata Airbus defence manufacturing plane project to Gujarat.

“It would be a good thing if the CM could bring Rs5 lakh crore worth of investments from Davos from his two-day visit. But projects of Rs2.5 lakh crore have already gone out of Maharashtra and have gone to Gujarat. The CM should go to Gujarat first and get those back first,” said Mr Raut.

“We know how deals are made there, how MoUs are signed and who has made how many deals there so far. No one can prove how many investments and projects, in reality, came to the country. But we can see in front of our eyes that someone took away the project that came to Maharashtra. So, go to Gujarat instead of going to Davos,” Raut said.
