Mumbai is being used as an ATM. ‘’You have sold yourself, don't sell my Mumbai’’, Aditya Thackeray blasted the Shinde government.

Shiv Sena’s Thackeray leader and former Tourism and Environment Minister was interacting with the media at Shiv Sena Bhavan. He made serious allegations with regards to the road contract in Mumbai.

"The Khoke government has started extorting the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. The tender of Rs. 5000 crores of roads is an absolute lie. A tender of Rs 6,800 crore has been floated for 400 km of roads. The road work is carried out between August 1st to May 1st. So, if the contract is awarded in February, when will the road work be done?.

"While all these things are happening, 48 percent of the profit has gone to the contractors. The main question is how did administrators approve these works when there was no mayor or public representative in the corporation. The contracts were distributed, using taxpayer’s money. The contract was awarded without any understanding of the work," said Aditya Thackeray.

It has become a routine to take out anger on Mumbai roads and extort money, expressed Aditya Thackeray.
