Sena MLA Sunil Prabhu hits back at BJP

Mumbai – Though the Shiv Sena and the BJP have come together in the BMC, leaders of these parties are not leaving a chance to lash at each other. City BJP president Ashish Shelar had alleged that the BMC had deposited Rs 61,000 crore in fixed deposits with banks.

Reacting to this, Sena MLA Sunil Prabhu has written a letter to chief minister Devendra Fadnavis asking him to divert the amount of Rs 3,523.31 crore allocated by the State government as tax and grants towards the BMC. Prabhu pointed out that various departments of State government have to clear the dues of Rs 3,523.31 crore of the BMC. It includes dues of Rs 2,044 crore from school education department.

The BMC has not yet received these dues from the State government and hence it should be released immediately so that the civic body carries out developmental works in the city. The Mumbaikars will be happy if a ‘transparent’ decision is taken in this regard, taunted Prabhu to Fadnavis in his letter.
