Sharad Pawar hospitalised; to undergo surgery on March 31

NCP leader Nawab Malik took to Twitter to share the information and said that Pawar was suffering from gall-bladder related issues. A team of doctors have been attending to check his health.

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar's health condition suddenly deteriorated in the evening on Sunday, March 28, 2021, after which he was rushed tp Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital for further treatment.

As per reports, Pawar complained of stomach ache during the day and upon investigation doctors have stated that he was diagnosed with gallbladder-related issues. Related checkups and examinations were conducted to identify the issue. It is said that Pawar will undergo surgery on March 31, 2021.

Maharashtra's Minister and NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik confirmed that Pawar was admitted to the hospital. His tweet said, "Kind attention Our party president Sharad Pawar saheb was feeling a little uneasy due to a pain in his abdomen last evening and was therefore taken to Breach Candy Hospital for a check up. Upon diagnosis it came to light that he has a problem in his Gall Bladder. He is on Blood Thinning Medication which is now being stopped due to this issue. He will be admitted in hospital on the 31st of March 2021 and an Endoscopy and Surgery will be conducted. Hence all his programmes stand cancelled until further notice."

 

Pawar's daughter and MP Supriya Sule has also shared information about Sharad Pawar's health through social media. She added that her father will be admitted for the next 10 days, post which, he will rest at home for recovery. Therefore, all the planned programs and tours starting Monday, March 29, 2021, will be postponed for the next 2 weeks.
