NCP minister Nawab Mali on Monday, April 12, informed the NCP Chief Sharad Pawar has been doing well after his gallbladder surgery. Sharad Pawar had been admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on Sunday and he was to undergo the surgery on Monday.

It was scheduled surgery and Pawar is said to be doing well after the same. Malik confirmed that the surgery went on without any hiccups and the NCP supremo is recuperating well in his room.

Earlier, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar's health condition deteriorated in the evening on Sunday, March 28, 2021, after which he was rushed to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital for further treatment. He had to undergo an endoscopy on March 30.

Despite this, Pawar complained of pain in his abdomen on March 28. He was rushed back to the hospital and upon investigation, doctors had diagnosed a stone in his gallbladder. Furthermore, it was suggested that Pawar will have to undergo another surgery.

Malik had informed on Sunday that doctors had advised Sharad Pawar to rest for seven days after he underwent a medical procedure (last month). It was then decided that the surgery for the removal of his gall bladder will be performed after 15 days. Accordingly, Pawar was admitted to Breach Candy hospital on Sunday.
