Former CM Uddhav Thackeray accepts Amit Shah's challenge

Shiv Sena chief and former CM of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray, on Tuesday, September 5, 2022, accepted the challenge given by Amit Shah and has replied that he will show the best outcome of this challenge in upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Elections.

Earlier, Minister Shah instructed BJP leaders and officials to hoist the saffron of the BJP and asked Eknath Shinde-led government to show the results in the BMC elecitions. As per reports, Amit Shah also advised the BJP leaders that Shiv Sena has cheated BJP and hence their defeat has to be the result, as the party (BJP) does not tolerate cheating.

Officials have informed that the members from Eknath Shinde party and BJP will contest six elections and Shah has given them a target of 150 seats. Moreover, Sena has also set a target of 150 seats. Keeping this in mind, experts believe that there is a possibility for this controversy will become even more intense in the coming time.

A meeting of Shiv Sainiks was held at Matoshree recently in the presence of Shiv Sena leaders Bhaskar Jadhav, Arvind Sawant. Uddhav Thackeray interacted with all Shiv Sena leaders here and responded to Shah's challenge. He revisited that had he wanted the post of chief minister, he could have been retained, and that he could have been taken to Kolkata.

He also mentioned that those who are with him as supporters, are only a handful but loyal. Moreover, he confirmed that Shiv Sena is not his private property and that if he wanted to be the CM, he would have not left the post during that critical moment.
