Mumbai - Almost a month has passed since the government's demonetisation drive took the nation by surprise. Ever since, every political party has formulated its own stand on move and on the 'currency cleansing' movement launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Shiv Sena met  RBI governor Urjit Patel in this regard and discussed the major problems which people are facing because of the junking of high denomination notes. The party MPs also mentioned former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh's speech on demonetisation to influence the RBI governor. The Shiv Sena had purportedly decided to stage to protest and petition the governor, listing its objections  to demonetisation, but after the meeting, there appears to be a sudden calm. After meeting RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray appears to have changed his mind. So, is the Sena for or against demonetisation? We are still waiting to know.
