Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut, who was admitted to Lilavati Hospital after chest pain complaint, was discharged on Wednesday. Raut underwent angioplasty.

Raut was admitted to the hospital after meeting Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on Monday. Raut’s relative, Sunil Raut had earlier informed that he is recovering now and was admitted for a regular check-up in the hospital. 

On Tuesday, Raut’s photograph where he can be seen sitting on the hospital bed writing went viral on social media along with his tweet which stated that his party will not give up and will succeed.

Several leaders from Maharashtra across party lines met Sanjay Raut in the hospital. On Tuesday, NCP chief Sharad Pawar visited Raut followed by Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and BJP’s Ashish Shelar.

On Wednesday, senior Congress leaders Ashok Chavan, Manikrao Thakre, Balasaheb Thorat and others went to meet Sanjay Raut in Lilavati hospital to learn about his health condition.

With Raut admitted in the hospital, the responsibility to form the government in Maharashtra will be given to Shiv Sena leaders including Rahul Narvekar, Anil Parab and Anil Desai. Raut has been in limelight since the declaration of assembly election results in Maharashtra.
