The oppose of the Shiv Sena to the Development Draft Plan of Mumbai is going stronger as the party has made a strategy to postpone the passage of this plan if it comes to the BMC. It may prove troublesome for the State government.
A workshop for Shiv Sena corporators was recently organised in the city to train them on the issue of Development Plan. While guiding the party corporators, Sena president Uddhav Thackeray took a tough stand against the DP by raising the issue of justice for sons of the soil. He has now directed party corporators to postpone the passing of DP if it comes to the House for discussion, informed sources.
With the Shiv Sena mounting attack on the State government on the issue of DP and GST, the fight between the ruling allies in the state government may get worse in near future.
