Sion lake water to be purified

Sion - On Sunday on the occasion of former PM Atal Bihari Bajpai's birthday, a dirghayushi Mahaarti Sankalp was organised at the historical Sion lake at Chunabhatti by BJP ward 172. In this Sankalp the organisers announced plans to renovate and purify Sion lake as well as plans to restore the species of creatures in the lake. A priest from Haridwar Gulab Shukla and others performed a pooja in the lake. Post pooja Bhajan sandhya programme also was organised by Gurukul academy. We are going to clean the lake and with the purified water we will worship lord Shiiva, said BJP district secretary Rajesh Shirwadkar.
