Mumbai-Activists, toll analyst and citizens have demanded that toll on the Mumbai Pune Expressway be stopped immediately as the total amount has been recovered. Activists have been following up with MMRDC as well as CM's office but they have not got any response regarding this issue.
Toll analyst have issued a legal notice to the CM last fortnight but there has been no reply to this notice. Looks like the state government is not serious about ending the toll menace.
Frustrated with the lax response, activists have threatened that if they do not receive any communication to their notice, they will lodge a complain with the Anti corruption bureau against CM Devendra Fadanvis, PWD minister Eknath Shinde an MSRDC Director Radheshyam Mopalwar.
Activists and toll analyst have made up their mind to take this fight to the court if not resolved by the state government at the earliest.
At a press conference organised at the Mumbai Marathi Patrakar Sangh, Toll analyst Vivek Velankar, Sanjay Shirodkar, Pravin Vategaonkar and Shrinivas Ghanekar addressed the press.
