Inter-caste marriage is necessary if we want to create unity in the society. I too have an inter-caste marriage. So, if you want to know how to do an inter-caste marriage, come to me, I will help you," Union Minister of State for Social Justice Ramdas Athawale told the students on Sunday.
On the occasion of 'National Constitution Day' and the centenary celebration of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's very important book 'The Problem of Rupee' Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Research Centre, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute (BARTI), Pune and London School of Economics, London organised an international conference on 'Problem of Rupee: Origin and Solution' on Sunday, November 26 at Sir Cowasji Jehangir Convocation Hall, Fort Complex of the University. At that time, Ramdas Athawale interacted with students, teachers and dignitaries.
“There is often a discussion of changing the constitution prepared under the leadership of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. But no one has the courage to change the constitution of this country. The government which is going to change the constitution, I am in that government. I assure you from Bombay University that the Constitution will not be touched at all. If anyone touches the constitution, this society will not spare anyone,” said Athawale.
