Bandra - A huge crowd of ticket aspirants thronged ‘Matoshri’, a residence of Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray, on Tuesday to attend the meeting and also to see their prospects of getting the party ticket. Thackeray had convened a meeting of party workers and office-bearers. While addressing them, Thackeray appealed them to be ready to fight elections on their own if an alliance is not formed with the BJP. He also said that Shiv Sena’s political friend can go to any level to win the BMC elections. Hence, all the aspiring candidates should maintain unity and fight elections single-handedly. He made it clear that the candidature will be given on the basis of performance. A large number of Sena workers from Dharavi, Wadala and Mahim assembly constituencies attended the meeting.
