Dalits in the country have been under attack due to their resistance towards the exploitation. Recently, two minor Dalit boys were brutally assaulted in Maharashtra’s Jalgaon for swimming in a farmer's well.

Reacting to this, Republican Party of Indian (A) chief, Athawale said that the government condemns the atrocities committed against Dalits and it will not be tolerated. Defending BJP, he further added that it would be wrong to speculate that the attacks have risen under the current government.
