Damu Nagar- Kandivali's Damu Nagar ward no 26 (earlier 25) is now been reserved for scheduled caste. This has created a problem for the corporator Ajanta Yadav as she has to look for a new ward. She dominated the area and is known for her aggressive politics. She won by 2,568 points in the last election. Though she is considered as close aide of Congress Mumbai president Sanjay Nirupam's, she is still ward-less. Former legislator from this area Ramesh Singh Thakur has entered BJP recently. It is believed that this has also badly affected the chances of Congress. When Mumbai Live spoke to her, she got away saying that this is not the good time to react.
