Malad - The Mumbai unit of the Congress protested against 'notebandi', the demonetisation process set into process by the government in a unique fashion on Monday.
Women beat their kitchen utensils in front of the office of State Minister for women and child development Vidya Thakur. The protest was carried out in Malad under the leadership of North-Mumbai President Sheetal Mhatre along with the probable candidate of ward-39, Kusum Singh. Over 400 women participated in the protest. Mhatre said, "PM Narendra Modi has fooled people in the name of note ban. Meanwhile, many people have died while standing in the serpentine queues outside ATMs, but the government is not doing anything for them."
