The Rotaract Club Of HR college for the last 5 years, has been working on all issues faced by citizens of Varvandi, Kumbharwadi and other villages in the Sangamner block of Maharashtra.

They have built 11 wells, constructed 15 solar lights on the streets, given starting capital to 40 entrepreneurship startup ideas. They also plan on serving 15 other villages in the distinct future. Just like a protégé has a mentor, similarly, the inspiration is primarily the plight of each and every villager who should ripe the benefits that we as people residing in cities enjoy. Hence to be a source of realisation to the city of Mumbai, The Rotaract Club Of HR college will be walking with earthen pots to depict the way people in the villages have to, just to revive little amount of water.

On the occasion of World Water Day, as the youth of Mumbai decided to take this step after seeing severe droughts in these villages which require urgent attention by someone at least.

As quite a few of us reading this, won’t even know that a village like Varvandi exists in the geographical periphery of Maharashtra, we aren’t even aware of the issues and the standard of living they are indulged in.

It’s not late for anyone to contribute, these villages require our help to ensure a better survival and a comfortable livelihood opportunity, one should always remember to take the shine when the day's out because for them it’s only fair to be a star when the moon sets in.
