Aditya Thackeray, Sachin Ahir and Sangeeta Ahir Inaugurate School Bus Service for Girl Child in Worli

Yuva Sena chief Aditya Thackeray and Shree Sankalp Pratishthan charitable trust which is founded and helmed by Mumbai's Sachin and Sangeeta Ahir inaugurated a school bus for girls attending Municipal schools in Worli amidst huge gathering. Aditya Thackeray was also seen enthusiastically interacting with the students at the gathering.

The bus will exclusively serve students from underprivileged families from Worli and ensure their safety and comfort on the daily commute to school. This initiative will enable students to have well-rounded school experience and ease the burden placed on them by an arduous commute. The trust also announced the provision of school books, and other academic supplies to the institute. Long an advocate for the importance of education, the trust has previously founded a book bank library, which offers underprivileged students access to textbooks they may otherwise struggle to afford.

Speaking at the ceremony Sachin Ahir said, “Education is a basic human right in today’s day and age. Unfortunately, many people don’t have access to that right due to various circumstances. By ensuring that the girl students of Worli have the means to travel to school, we have taken a powerful step in the right direction. With this endeavour, I will try to take this initiative in all the zillas especially in the villages where students have to walk kilometres to attend their schools.”

Sangeeta Ahir added to this by stating, “Despite the presence of a school in the area, we noticed that many children were unable to attend due to a lack of transport. Through the provision of this bus, we hope to encourage their attendance and see to it that the sole focus of the girls is their academic performance. We have also made provision for female attendance in the bus to ensure the safety of the girl child.”

Addressing the audience Aditya Thackeray said, “Today, I’m here to support the noble gesture made by Sachin and Sangeeta Ahir. As leaders, they have shown us that we should always be motivated by concern for our people. Similarly, the Shiv Sena doesn’t belong solely to Hindutva, but is constantly motivated by the quest to build better lives for our people.”
