Mumbai-based Bhamla Foundation recently celebrated a milestone by completing twenty-two years of service in Mumbai. Founded by Asif Bhamla, the foundation was started with an aim to serve the society through social activities across the city of Mumbai. The central focus of the foundation and the team has been to promote a sense of national integration and with time, the passion has grown the focus towards raising awareness over many important issues concerning the public and ones which needs to be addressed today.
In a recent event, Asif Bhamla was invited by the Hon'ble Governor of Maharashtra, Bhagat Singh Koshyari, who presented them with a letter of appreciation. The team visited the Raj Bhavan and were felicitated with the letter which read, "I'm pleased to know that the Bhamla foundation is completing twenty-two years of dedicated service to the society. Beginning with 'I Love Bandra' initiative in the year 1998, the foundation has grown into a major organisation spread across the country. It is gratifying to note that the foundation has been working for various causes in the field of health, community service, child rehabilitation, women empowerment and environment protection. Awareness initiatives of the foundation to curb the spread of tuberculosis and non-communicable diseases are commendable and need to be sustained. I congratulate the Bhamla foundation for its good work and wish it success in the future endeavours."
Asif Bhamla took to Twitter to announce the milestone, and with a note that read, "After working on ground for 4months during Pendamic if invited officially & felicitated by the Hon Governer It certainly turns out to be a great morale booster for entire team of @bhamlafoundatio.
