Twitter removed blue ticks from all verified accounts on April 20. Elon Musk had already announced that users will have to pay for Blue Tick before this. In such a case those who have paid will still have their blue tick and those who have not paid will no longer see their account verified. The list of Blue Tick losers also includes the names of big stars. The blue tick has also been removed from the accounts of superstars like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar.


Twitter owner Elon Musk had announced a few months ago that the Blue Tick will remain in place after April 20 only if subscriptions are taken. Blue ticks of non-subscribers will be removed. The facility of Blue Tick can be availed by paying a monthly fee. In such cases the blue tick is removed from all Twitter handles. The rates for blue ticks is INR 900 per month for mobile and INR 650 for web version.


Shah Rukh Khan has 43.4 million followers on Twitter. He is in touch with his fans through Twitter. But now his account is not verified. Similarly, Amitabh Bachchan also has 48.4 million followers on Twitter. He has posted around 4,622 tweets so far. The blue tick of their account has also been removed.


Salman Khan has 45 million followers on Twitter. His movie 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' has been released today. The blue tick of his account has also been removed. Although Akshay Kumar is not very active on social media, he has 45.7 million followers on Twitter.


Cricketer Virat Kohli, cricketer Rohit Sharma's Twitter accounts don’t have blue ticks. Not only this, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's account is also not verified anymore. Blue ticks have also been removed from Twitter accounts of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Vijay, Rajinikanth.


Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan has tweeted that he has paid money for blue tick and is awaiting for the same.
