Dalai Lama paid a three-day visit to Somaiya Campus, Mumbai between December 8 and 10 and delivered a public talk and gave private teachings organised by Vidyaloke, an Indian wisdom initiative of Vana Foundation, with a vision to revive Indian Wisdom in contemporary India.

Vidyaloke is an initiative towards spiritual discovery for aspirations through Indian wisdom. This talk was a first in Mumbai after its inaugural session in Delhi.

The Tibetan spiritual leader interacted with school students and said in his talk on Friday that the young generation needs to learn more about ancient knowledge of the country to move ahead in life. He stated that modern science and education is still very primitive when it comes to the inner world. He said that youth can play a very important role in promoting the knowledge of inner peace since it is the cornerstone of every aspect of our lives, even physical health.

On the final day of his stay in Somaiya Campus, Dalai Lama addressed his talk to college students. He talked about religious scriptures, world peace, his own life struggle and importance of peace of mind. Famous indie band Kabir Café performed live in the event to add more charm to the talk.
