Inspirations are many, but all one needs to do is look around. There are many people among us, who have faced life-threatening issues related to health but have fought to recover to their best. The journey is tough, but their will, dedication, and zeal rewards them a respectful life.

One such person is Megha Lamba, a 25-year-old strong and focused girl, who despite difficulties has today become an appreciated artist. As a child, Megha was fond of sketching and drawing. Ever since she began her education, she showed interests in arts and doodling. At the age of 15, Megha moved to Singapore with her parents, where she continued to pursue her passion. But a few months later, she suffered a stroke, which left her right side paralysed.

Under such circumstances, it is difficult for a person to gather courage and bring a change. But Megha stayed strong and completed a degree in arts, at a college in Singapore. Sharing more information about the incident and her brave daughter, Megha’s mother, Vandana Lamba, said “She was also Independent and positive. So were I and my husband. We supported her always. Slowly, her speech was back to normal, and she started using her left hand for painting. She continues to do so with perfection. Megha was always strong, fearless and happy go lucky. Her work has always been appreciated since childhood. She has also delivered paintings for ships used in merchant navy.”

With a grit to do something and live her life to the best, Megha completed her degree in fine arts. Living in a place like Singapore with kind-hearted people, helped her a lot to continue without any dependency. She has now moved to India with her parents. Talking about this journey, Vandana added, “It took a while for her to adjust in India. People here are helpful, but many are curious, with many questions. I used to get annoyed often, but she patiently explains everything about it, when asked.”

Today, Megha continues to participate in art exhibitions and showcase her paintings related to animals, scenery, and landscapes. She is also a part of urban sketchers group in Pune. Her aim is to be financially independent someday, and she is working towards it. With more exposure and maturity and once she achieves what she desires, Megha wants to support the ones in need.

Megha recently showcased her work at an art show, The Art Enclave, where she made a mark with her paintings. The Art Enclave was held at Nesco grounds in Mumbai.
