Under the Maharashtra Plastic ban, which came into effect on June 23, the use of plastic and thermocol is prohibited in the state. Several centres were formed across the state for the collection of plastic.

Angholichi Goli- Bath Pill, has started a new campaign in which the NGO is distributing plant saplings in return for plastic bags. The organisation is giving away a total of 100 plants.

The campaign will be launched on July 7. Tushar Warang, a member of the organisation said that the NGO is giving away a plant for every five plastic bags. The event will be held at Ramnarain Ruia College, Matunga between 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday. The NSS unit of Ruia College is assisting the organisation in its endeavour.
