Maharashtra Cooperation department has launched a user-friendly website and mobile application called Sahakar Samvad. With this, the members of cooperative housing society have online facility to file complaints.

The new online platform is designed to streamline this process, allowing both complainants and officials to conveniently track the progress and status of each complaint, along with actions taken in response.

The platform has options for 24 types of complaints commonly raised by housing society members that include share certificates, misappropriation or misapplication of funds, failure to conduct elections and failure to convene general body meetings among others.

As per an official from the registrar’s office in Mumbai, individuals filing complaints on this new platform will be required to pay a nominal fee of INR 50 for each complaint.

The online facility will facilitate around 1.15 lakh cooperative housing societies in Maharashtra, eliminating the need for members to visit offices and also reducing paperwork.

At present, individuals seeking to file complaints of cooperative housing societies have to visit the registrar’s office in person.
